General Motors Oshawa’s Gender-Neutral Washrooms
After previously working together on various projects, General Motors Oshawa (GMO) once again requested the expertise of ProPart Modular. For this project, GMO required gender-neutral washroom facilities and ProPart Modular was excited about delivering a turnkey solution.
GMO wanted their new units to be 100% factory built and tested to make installation in their assembly plant as simple and easy as possible. ProPart Modular designed and assembled an 8 and 4-pack washroom facility off-site using their proprietary System 40™. Each unit included a janitor’s closet and wall-mounted toilets, urinals, and sinks, all with hardwired automatic flush valves. The flooring was a one-piece sheet with flashed-up walls and a 4” cove for easy maintenance. All finishes were metal-clad industrial which is robust for durability, vandal-resistant, and low maintenance.
ProPart Modular delivered GMO’s new units complete with plumbing, electrical, and sprinklers for easy site connections. Working in tandem with JJ McGuire, these connection services were prepared as the units were being built in order to maximize time and the project was completed on schedule and during business hours without disrupting operations.
